Q. Why is FOO-ME not connecting to the internet?

A. FOO-ME might fail to connect to the internet due to several reasons:

  1. The user is not subscribed to WAP or GPRS, or is not connected to WIFI
    • Solution: Subscribe to an internet plan with mtctouch or Alfa, or connect to a valid WIFI access point if your phone supports WIFI.
  2. The user has a WAP or GPRS subscription but the internet settings are not configured.
    • Solution: Refer to mtctouch or Alfa support (call 111) and ask for the internet settings.
  3. The user can connect to the internet through the phone’s mobile browser but cannot connect to the internet inside FOO-ME:
    • Solution: Set the right internet settings for FOO-ME which could be one of the following
      • For Nokia S40: go to Menu -> Settings -> Configuration-> Personal config.sett. -> and Add a new “Access point”. Then select “Access point settings”  -> Bearer settings-> and save the following settings:
          • MTC users? packet data acc.pt = wap.mtctouch.com.lb (no username or pass.)
          • ALFA users? packet data acc.pt= wap.mic1.com.lb

                          User name    = mic1
                          Password      = mic1

      • For Nokia S60 (Smart phones):  Go to Menu -> Settings -> Application Manager -> Installed Apps -> scroll to FOO-ME -> Then click on Menu -> Suite settings -> and choose the right access point.
      • For Samsung phones: Go to the folder where FOO-ME is saved, click on menu -> internet options -> and select the access point (WAP or WIFI).
      • For Sony Ericsson phones: Go to Main Menu -> Settings -> Connectivity Tab -> Internet Settings -> Internet Profiles and then check that the correct settings are selected.
      • For Motorolla phones: Go to Main Menu -> Web Access -> Web Sessions and check that the correct settings are selected.

Q. How can I test if I have internet connection?

A. To test if you have internet connection inside FOO-ME, open FOO-ME and go to:
Settings-> Connection -> test Connection.

If the test gives you a green checkmark, then it is working fine. Otherwise, check the above settings if they are correct.
